Art and Craft Workshop - Jambarung

Date

4 NSS student volunteers under the community engagement programme took a session on art  and craft workshop for small tribal kids of Jambarung village. Student volunteers interacted  with these small kids and taught them origami by using paper. Art and craft is the most  important way to help small kids to grow and  develop. This happens with positive results when  they paint, colour, glue and cut. 120 tribal kids from nearby area of Jambarung village  participated in this activity. They were very happy after this activity. At the end of the activity  students distributed the Joy packets (packets including crayon colors, cream biscuit, Savoury  packet, toffies, Rajgira chikki) provided by the Sadhu Vaswani Mission (SVM). Children  thanked SVM & SVIMS student volunteers. NSS volunteers conducted this workshop as  schools have been closed since March 2020 due to the pandemic. Non-availability of resources  and poor or nearly no network in these areas have created obstacles for these children in their  education.
