Partition Horror Remembrance Day

As per the UGC Circular and guidelines on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, an exhibition was conducted at SVIMS on 12th August 2022.


The event was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. B.H. Nanwani, Director, Faculty members, Staff and Students of SVIMS. Students were explained about the agony, suffering and pain of millions of people affected by the partition. The partition remembrance day was observed to remind us of the painful past. The objective was not to upheaval hatred or negative feelings. Instead the Partition remembrance day was observed to acknowledge, mourn and commemorate the day. The main objective of this event was to keep reminding the society the need to remove the poison of social divisions, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment.


The essence of the day was highlighted by Ms. Harshali Bhalerao, Faculty to introduce the audience the significance of observing Partition Horrors Remembrance day.


Introduction was followed by an exhibition via digital platform at the reception lounge. Students carefully went through the presentation which showed the sufferings, violence and the hatred and highlighted the importance of forgiveness and unity.


The event concluded with the National Anthem.
