Pandharpur Wari is an important aspect of our culture- especially in Maharashtra. This year’s theme for the dindi[ procession] is ‘Swacch Wari, Swastha Wari, Nirmal Wari, Harit Wari’. Our students participated in the wari and sang Bhajans, Abhangas and danced with warkaris. They also helped in spreading awareness about cleanliness, health and tree plantation, while walking alongside warkaris. The students also helped the Pune Police at Yerwada Bridge in crowd management, distribution of food, cleaning of places where warkaris rested and depicted role plays on social issues.
