Observing Partition Horror Remembrance Day

A Spanish philosopher George Santayana “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”. Also, a nation cannot know itself without knowing its past. So, the horrors of Partition must be acknowledged, archived, mourned and commemorated.


Students were explained about the agony, suffering and pain of millions of people affected by the partition. The partition Remembrance Day was observed to acknowledge and mourn the day and remind the society of the need to remove the poison of social divisions, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment.


An exhibition via digital platform was put up. The presentation showed the sufferings, violence and the hatred and highlighted the importance of forgiveness and unity. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
