SADHU VASWANI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES FOR GIRLS
MBA Programme is now NBA Accredited (2024-2027)
Sports Day
The institute recently organized a series of activities to promote the importance of sports culture and its role in personal and national development. The event commenced with a speech by Vidhi Sharma, an MBA-I student, who shed light on the life and achievements of K.D. Jadhav, India’s first individual Olympic medalist post-independence. Born in Goleshwar village, Maharashtra, Jadhav brought pride to the nation by winning a bronze medal at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.
To further the cause, a rally was organized by MCA and MBA students to advocate for a robust sports culture in India. The rally began at the institute’s main gate and concluded at the Budhrani Hospital entrance, with students emphasizing the critical role of sports in improving mental health and physical fitness.
The celebrations also included various sports events such as chess, cricket, and badminton. These activities encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and social bonding among students. The initiative provided an opportunity for students to relax, engage with peers, and take a break from their academic routine. The events successfully highlighted the importance of integrating sports into daily life for holistic development.
